We’re not that far away from finally being able to play STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, and newly released system requirements reveal that you’ll be able to run the game on an older gaming PC or laptop, but you’ll need an RTX 4070 level GPU to play games at recommended settings.
You don’t need the best graphics card to run Stalker 2 at 1,920 x 1,080, but if you’re aiming for 4K, 60fps performance, it will certainly help. In fact, if you want to run the game on Epic settings, you’ll need at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080.

You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 580 or Intel Arc A750 graphics card, and an Intel Core i7 7700K or Ryzen 5 1600X CPU.
If you want to meet these low-end specs, and you specify “dual-channel,” you’ll also need 16GB of RAM, which means you’ll need a matched pair of two DIMMs working together, rather than a single stick of memory in the machine.
All of this hardware is several years old at this point, and most of the components weren’t too expensive when they came out, so you can definitely play games on an older midrange PC at maxed-out detail settings as long as you don’t expect it.
As for STALKER 2 Recommended Specificationsthese allow you to play games at 2,560 x 1,440p, 60fps using high graphics presets, and they’re pretty demanding. First, you’ll need 32GB of optimal gaming RAM to meet the specs, and a decent upper-mid-range GPU from the current or previous generation.
To play games at these settings, you’ll need at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or RTX 4070, but the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT can also get the job done.
